Join us as an Interventional Radiologist at the Lexington VA Medical Center located in Lexington, KY. This is a full-time contract position. Contracted provider needed for both Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology services.
Duties include:
- Provide general and interventional Radiology procedures including:
o X-Ray
o Fluoroscopy
o CT
o MRI
o Ultrasound
o Interventional
- Typical 75% Diagnostic Radiology/25% Interventional Radiology split.
- Estimated 27 RVU daily.
- 2-3 Interventional procedures per shift.
- Interventional procedures include:
o CT guided biopsies
o CT guided drainage tube placements
o Angio guided procedures
o Ultrasound guided procedures
Schedule: Full-time, 8A-4:30P M-F. No call, weekends, or federal holidays.
Period of Performance: Start date as soon as available through 3/31/2026 w/ one 6-month extension available.
Qualifications:
- Education. Degree of Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree.
- Board Certification. All contractor's physician(s) shall be Board Certified per the American Board of Radiology (http://www.theabr.org/).
- Licensure and certification. Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia. BLS, ACLS, DEA, and NPI required.
- Experience. Must be capable of demonstrating technical proficiency.
- English Language Proficiency: In accordance with 38 U.S.C. 7402(f), no person shall serve in direct patient care positions unless they are proficient in basic written and spoken English.
- Subject to background/security investigation.
- Must pass TB test.
- Complete an online onboarding process.
- Willingness to comply with Department of Veterans Affairs vaccination programs for seasonal influenza and COVID-19.
- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
