Description

Join us as an Interventional Radiologist at the Lexington VA Medical Center located in Lexington, KY. This is a full-time contract position. Contracted provider needed for both Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology services.

Duties include:

  • Provide general and interventional Radiology procedures including:
    o X-Ray
    o Fluoroscopy
    o CT
    o MRI
    o Ultrasound
    o Interventional
  • Typical 75% Diagnostic Radiology/25% Interventional Radiology split.
  • Estimated 27 RVU daily.
  • 2-3 Interventional procedures per shift.
  • Interventional procedures include:
    o CT guided biopsies
    o CT guided drainage tube placements
    o Angio guided procedures
    o Ultrasound guided procedures

Schedule: Full-time, 8A-4:30P M-F. No call, weekends, or federal holidays.

Period of Performance: Start date as soon as available through 3/31/2026 w/ one 6-month extension available.

Qualifications:

  • Education. Degree of Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree.
  • Board Certification. All contractor's physician(s) shall be Board Certified per the American Board of Radiology (http://www.theabr.org/).
  • Licensure and certification. Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia. BLS, ACLS, DEA, and NPI required.
  • Experience. Must be capable of demonstrating technical proficiency.
  • English Language Proficiency: In accordance with 38 U.S.C. 7402(f), no person shall serve in direct patient care positions unless they are proficient in basic written and spoken English.
  • Subject to background/security investigation.
  • Must pass TB test.
  • Complete an online onboarding process.
  • Willingness to comply with Department of Veterans Affairs vaccination programs for seasonal influenza and COVID-19.
  • Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
  • Must be a US citizen to apply for this job.

Monterey teams with general practice, specialists, and allied health practitioners nationwide to provide local coverage for examinees. We deliver a wide range of medical examination-only services to public sectors and the individuals they serve. Our clients include the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA), the Department of Labor, the Department of Defense, and more. Our provider network consists of over 700 providers in various medical specialties and degree types. They conduct diagnostic-only examination services on an as-needed basis. These services may take place in their private office, established clinics located across the country, or during travel opportunities for group screening events.
